Beneath the tailored silhouette, we use only certified natural materials: GOLS-certified natural latex, GOTS-certified organic wool and cotton, FSC-certified hardwood, and traditional rubberised hair. These aren’t just credentials — they ensure the sofa is breathable, biodegradable, and made to last. The natural latex core cushions won’t sag or degrade like foam; they’re supportive, springy, and designed to hold their shape for over 20 years.

An enduring style referencing the British design classic, the Chesterfield. This understated sofa features high elegant scroll arms and a sprung bench seat. Throw on a few cushions to complement its timeless simplicity.
Frame
Hand-built frame made from solid kiln-dried beech wood, sustainably sourced from Forest Stewardship Council-certified European forests. The durable frame has been glued, dowled and then strengthened with screws for stability and longevity.
Fabric
Each of our sofas and armchairs are hand-upholstered in a choice of premium fabrics, including our natural and eco-fabrics.
Guarantee
All of the frames for our sofas and chairs come with a lifetime guarantee as standard.
Cushions
Cushions are constructed using our eco natural latex foam for an exceptionally soft and supportive seat that keeps its shape and resists seat marks from use over time. The cushions are reversible, giving you the option to remove, flip and rotate to your liking. They require minimal maintenance, just occasionally fluffing and plumping. It's also both recyclable and biodegradable and is mould, mildew and dust mite resistant. It's can last twenty times longer than a standard foam cushion.

Free fabric samples
Order a selection of free swatch samples to experience our fabrics at home. All of our materials are carefully sourced, producing the highest quality fabric with as little environmental impact as possible. Our natural fabrics are all biodegradable and manufactured without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Many of our man-made fabrics are produced from recycled materials diverted from landfill.
Reupholster your Slow sofa
Our reupholstery service breathes new life into well-worn pieces. At any point, you can return your sofa to us and we’ll strip it, recycle your old material and reupholster in your new choice of fabric. We mean it when we say, a sofa is for life.
Delivery & returns
Production
Your sofa or chair will be made to order in our workshops in the Yorkshire dales. We'll send you updates along the way as our team of makers bring your piece to life.
Delivery
Once your order is ready, we’ll contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. Delivery takes place Monday to Saturday, nationwide, and costs £150 per sofa or chair, with no hidden fees. Upon order, we can provide an accurate delivery timeframe. Delivery is automatically calculated at checkout based on the number of items in your order.
Hassle-free returns
We want our refunds policy to be as simple as possible. If you’re not happy with your sofa, for whatever reason, drop us a message within 14 days of receiving it and we’ll arrange for a courier to come and take it off your hands.
