Built to last

Lifetime Guarantee

We shout from the rooftops that we guarantee our frames for a lifetime. But what does a lifetime actually mean? It means that as long as you’re the owner of a Slow sofa, we’ll stand behind the frame and repair it if it fails due to fair wear and tear, or a fault in materials or workmanship. The very last thing we want to see is one of our sofas destined for landfill. We’re so confident in our material selection and construction that we don’t expect to see you — but if you ever do need us, we’ll be here.
This lifetime frame guarantee relates specifically to the structural integrity of the sofa frame.
If you have any questions, or think there may be an issue with your frame, please get in touch at info@slowsofa.co.uk.

Reupholstering your Slow sofa

Our mission is simple: we craft sofas to last a lifetime. And over a lifetime, homes change, families grow, styles evolve and sofas get properly lived in. That’s why every Slow sofa is designed to be reupholstered. Whether it’s five years from now or twenty, when your sofa is ready for a refresh, just get in touch. We’ll collect it, carefully check over the frame and structure, and reupholster it in your new chosen fabric, so it comes back to you looking and feeling as good as new. For us, this is how we measure success. In decades to come, we want to be seeing lots of Slow sofas coming back through our workshop doors, ready for their next chapter.

Handmade to order

Each of our sofas and chairs is handmade to order in our Yorkshire Dales workshop by a single craftsperson, from start to finish.

There are no production lines, no parts shipped in from other manufacturers, and no outsourcing. We’re responsible for the entire process – from building the frame, through upholstery, to final finishing.

This level of control really matters. It allows us to maintain consistent quality, make considered material choices, and check every piece of furniture before it leaves our workshop. The result is furniture built with care, intention, and details you can see and feel.

Responsibility sourced materials

We source our timber from trusted suppliers who hold recognised sustainable forestry certifications, meaning the wood can be traced back to responsibly managed forests that support biodiversity and long-term forest health.

Where possible, we also choose to work locally. Our timber is supplied by our local timber yard, and we partner with fabric houses we trust for their material integrity and responsible manufacturing standards.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials. Our workshop is powered by renewable electricity generated directly from solar panels on the roof, meaning even the machines used to make your sofa run on green energy. It’s all part of taking responsibility for the entire process – from where materials come from, to how your furniture is made.
