While the Owlet might look like a contemporary sofa on the outside, what sets it apart is everything inside. We use only certified natural materials—GOLS-certified natural latex, GOTS-certified organic wool and cotton, FSC-certified hardwood, and traditional rubberised hair, Instead of synthetic foams and sprayed chemicals. These choices make the Owlet breathable, biodegradable, and remarkably durable. Its natural latex core cushions won’t sag or disintegrate like foam; they stay springy, supportive, and mould-resistant for over 20 years.

Additionally, it comes complete with plush lumbar cushions, providing extra back support for an even cosier seating experience.
Every detail is considered: the frame is carefully upholstered in layers of organic wool and GOTS-certified cotton, natural, breathable, and free from chemicals. These are among the finest materials available, chosen not only for how they feel, but for how well they wear.
Frame
Hand-built frame made from solid kiln-dried beech wood and eco-ply, sustainably sourced from Forest Stewardship Council-certified European forests. The durable frame has been glued, screwed, doweled, and strengthened with screws for stability and longevity.
Fabric

Cushions
Each seat cushion blends GOLS-certified natural latex with a layer of extra-soft feather, offering lasting support and indulgent comfort. Naturally breathable and resilient, latex is 20x more durable than foam, and resistant to mould, mildew, and dust mites. It’s also recyclable and biodegradable. Cushions are reversible and low-maintenance, designed to be flipped, fluffed, and enjoyed for years.

Free fabric samples
Order a selection of free swatch samples to experience our fabrics at home. All of our materials are carefully sourced, producing the highest quality fabric with as little environmental impact as possible. Our natural fabrics are all biodegradable and manufactured without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Many of our man-made fabrics are produced from recycled materials diverted from landfill.
Reupholster your Slow sofa
Our reupholstery service breathes new life into well-worn pieces. At any point, you can return your sofa to us and we’ll strip it, recycle your old material and reupholster in your new choice of fabric. We mean it when we say, a sofa is for life.
Delivery & returns
Production
Your sofa or chair will be made to order in our workshops in the Yorkshire dales. We'll send you updates along the way as our team of makers bring your piece to life.
Delivery
Once your order is ready, we’ll contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. Delivery takes place Monday to Saturday, nationwide, and costs £150 per sofa or chair, with no hidden fees. Upon order, we can provide an accurate delivery timeframe. Delivery is automatically calculated at checkout based on the number of items in your order.
Hassle-free returns
We want our refunds policy to be as simple as possible. If you’re not happy with your sofa, for whatever reason, drop us a message within 14 days of receiving it and we’ll arrange for a courier to come and take it off your hands.
