We suggest measuring a couple of dimensions in your house to ensure your furniture can fit through any doors, tight hallways, or steps. If you want to check any measurements before ordering, please don't hesitate to reach out. We also suggest customers double-check the sofa measurements before placing the order. Once you’ve placed an order, we’ll give you a courtesy call to run through any delivery questions you may have.

To start, write down the dimensions of your chosen Slow sofa or chair, which are found on the product page. You'll need to refer to these while measuring up, so keep them handy.

c. (Total depth)

Open your front door as wide as possible and measure between the outer edge of the door to the inner edge of the door frame. It will fit through if this measurement is greater than your sofa's height (b). Don't worry if it doesn't; give us a call, and we can discuss other options over the phone; we always have some tricks up our sleeves.

Now you're through the front door, measure the narrowest part of the hallway and check to make sure it's wider than the height of your sofa (b). Remember to consider some possible obstacles like shelving, light fittings and radiators. Finally, ensure there's enough room outside internal doors to manoeuvre the sofa. If in doubt, drop us a call, and we can discuss it further.

If your sofa needs to go upstairs, measure the width of the staircase at its narrowest point; if the distance is wider than the height of your sofa, we're good to go.

Top tip. It's always a good idea to take some masking tape and mark out the size of your sofa. This gives you a good idea of the size.
